Cut two small triangles from the tail section of the plate as shown, and punch a hole in the top… all you have to do is decorate with pretty patterns and colours and add a googally eye or draw one on with a marker pen. When you've finished decorating, paint in pva glue and glitter to make it shine and sparkle just like a real fish! Put some sequins around the edge for extra glitter. Let the fish dry and when this side is dry you can turn it over and do the same on the other side. Try to make it different colours, that way when it spins it will look very pretty! When both sides are dry, hang with some string through the hole at the top near a window x

Hair clip

1 square piece of felt - in your favourite colour
felt tip pen darker than fabric
needle and thread
1 button
scissors
strong glue (this bit needs a grown up to help)

with the biggest at the bottom and smallest at the top. Put the button on the top and sew them all together with a needle and thread. Tie the end of the thread and then stick the flower onto a hairclip with glue! Let it dry over night and it's ready to wear. Very easy and very pretty indeed x

In the summer you can write a letter to anyone you like to tell them about what a nice time you are having and what you have been doing. Lottie wrote letters to Granny and to Jess when she was on holiday. Mummy gave her some stamps and took her to the letter box to post them. Lottie had decorated the letters with stickers and cut outs of things she'd collected. She even put a little gift in each. She sent Granny a photo of Humphrey and Jack which Lottie had taken all by herself! She made Jess a very pretty best friend bracelet which she made in all Jess's favourite colours. It was very exciting putting them all in the post box and Lottie couldn't wait for when they arrived and made Jess and Granny smile! x

Buy embroidery thread at a craft or sewing store. It is much thicker than normal sewing thread, and comes in lots of colours. Pick 4 different colours of thread.
Take the first color and wrap it around your wrist 3 times and cut the thread to that length. Cut a piece this length from each of the other colours.

1. Tie the strings together with an overhand knot, leaving a 2" tail at the top. Tape it to a table.

2. Pick up strand A and wrap it over and under strand B to make a knot

3. Tighten the knot by holding strand B and pulling strand A up.

4. Make a second knot with strand A over strand B; pull strand A tight.

5. Drop strand B; pick up strand C. Make 2 knots with strand A over strand C. Repeat on strand D. Strand A will now be on the right.

6.One row has been completed. Continue next row by making 2 knots with strand B over strand C, D, and A. With each row, the strand on the left is always "worked over" to the right.

7. Four rows are completed. Continue until bracelet is desired length.

Start the next row using the string to the far left (green).Repeat all the steps until you have the row finished.Keep going until the bracelet is long enough to fit around your wrist comfortably. To make sure it fits well, try it on your wrist, there should be enough extra room that you can fit about 2 fingers in next to your wrist, since the bracelet can shrink in water and become too tight (although it will stretch back out when dry). Tie the loose ends of your strings with a square knot just like how you started the bracelet. Tie the bracelet onto your wrist (or your friend's) at the right length with a knot, like the first part of tying a shoelace, but do it twice. It helps if you can get someone to help you here, but it can be done alone.Trim any loose ends. You can also add charms or beads to the ends for decoration, simply slip them on the floss and tie a knot beneath them.
